Windblown Cross Country Skiing & Snowshoeing Hot

windblownWindblown is located in the Monadnock Region of New Hampshire, which abounds with Country Inns and Bed and Breakfasts, many just a few minutes away.  In years past, more than ten other resorts operated in the area around Windblown.  Today, after more than 40 years in business, Windblown is the only one left.  The resort’s survival can be largely attributed to owner Al Jenkin’s dedication to skiing.

Some adventurous skiers choose to stay overnight in the Warming Hut, a rustic cabin in the middle of the trail system. Serious winter campers can rent two of the three-sided shelters.  The trail network is established, the lodge is complete, and the grooming needs are set for years to come. The rentals have been updated and they have added snowshoeing trails.  Most of the customers come from theNashua, Boston, Worcester, and Providencearea. They are open when there is sufficient snow to ski which is generally December through March.
