Offering alpine and night-time skiing, this family owned and operated resort was named one of the Top 10 Ski Destinations in the United States.

The resort originated in 1961, but has since evolved into a four-season, family-oriented, and popular amusement area just outside of one of America’s most romantic cities, Gatlinburg. With 32 acres of skiable area, 8 trails, 5 lifts, and up to half mile runs on the terrain’s 600 foot vertical drop, there is plenty of snow to ski or snowboard on.

Not in the mood for hitting the slopes? That’s okay—Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort and Amusement Park also provides a state-of-the art snow tubing park in addition to the scenic chairlift, Alpine slide, miniature golf, Wildlife Encounters, and a 140’ x 75’ indoor ice skating rink. There is also plenty of shopping on-site as well as downtown.

If you’d rather stay cozy inside, entertain your sweet tooth at the popular fudge shop or sip hot chocolate by the toasty fire in the beautiful lodge with tall, cathedral-sized windows.
