Austrian Resorts Host U.S. Ski Team Training Hot

soeldenThe U.S. Ski Team will train at ski resorts in Soelden and Obergurgl-Hochgurgl in Austria.

U.S. Ski Team Alpine Director Patrick Riml said, "Soelden has a successful history of hosting World Cup races and therefore has all the experience necessary to produce high caliber training venues.  Those venues will support the U.S. Ski Team’s continued World Cup success and aid in preparation for the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi."  

A three-year agreement with the U.S. Ski team establishes Soelden as the official training base for the men's team and Obergurgl-Hochgurgl for the women's team.  

The 2012 season for the U.S. Ski team opens on October 22 with the Audi FIS Alpine World Cup, which will be held at Soelden.
