SIA's 2012 Snow Show Shapes Up to Be the Biggest Yet Hot

SIA_Snow_Show_2012The SIA 2012 Snow Show is shaping up to be an even bigger event than it has been in previous years. Pre-registration, early hotel bookings, and booth space committees predict numbers that will be considerably higher than in the past.  Pre-registration suggests a 14% increase in retail shops that haven’t before been involved in the Snow Show, and exhibit space has been expanded by 11,000 square feet since last year.

SIA’s 2012 Snow Show will be taking place at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver from January 26-29, and it is likely that it will boast an estimated 19,000 attendees, including snow sports suppliers, retailers, reps, athletes, and professionals from around the world.

“The Snow Show is the only place to see all the lines, and I mean ALL the lines, in ski and snowboard,” said Lisa Hollenbeck, Co-Owner and Vice-President of Alpine Shop in St. Louis, Missouri.

The SIA Snow Show is also the only place where Burton will showcase their entire 2013 line of snowboard equipment, gear, and apparel.

For the third year, the industry will follow the Snow Show with the On-Snow Demo/Ski-Ride Fest at Winter Park Resort and Devil’s Thumb Ranch from January 30-31. Once again, there is an estimated 36% increase in retail shops that will attend the Demo for the first time and hotels are already almost sold out. Snowboard retailers and media will spend these two days testing out new gear and accessories that was recently featured at the Snow Show.
