Skiing santas hit the slopes for charity

Over 250 Santa look-alikes were literally dashing through the snow for the Sunday River Ski Resort's "Santa Sunday" on Dec. 5.

Hundreds of  Santas took part in skiing and snowboarding festivities at the Maine resort for the 11th annual Santa Sunday event for charity. As there is limited space, registration for this popular event was filled up in only 12 minutes.

The event raised $2,270 in charity funds for the Bethel Rotary Club's Christmas toy drive. Participants who went all out in their Santa gear donated $10 to the charity in exchange for a free lift ticket for the day.
