Product Review - VPD Hydration Pack Hot

POC_Spine_PackA lot of time spent in the backcountry or just a lengthy day out on the slopes requires hydration and the POC Spine VPD Hydration Pack from Europe is the perfect tool for skiers and riders to get the right amount of H2O.

The pack comes with a ton of credibility, as it’s used by BMX, skateboarding, cycling and various other athletes.

The ingenuity behind the Spine VPD Hydration Pack is the ability to keep wearers hydrated, with a 70 fluid ounce hydration pouch and heavy-duty removable drink tube (with neoprene lips), and safe through the 1" thick VPD spine protector with two different VPD densities to keep your spine and back safe.

VPD is short for Visco-elastic Polymer Dough, a complex compound that is very soft and comfortable, but upon impact, stiffens to absorb an extreme amount of energy created by the impact.

The hydration pouch comes with a lifetime guarantee against leaks, an added bonus considering that this futuristic hydration pack with cost you in the neighborhood of $250.

Of course, there is more, the folks at POC thought of everything. Some of the highlights include: an interior spandex sleeve that keeps the VPD back protector in place when your on the move; two padded and zippered interior pockets; sealed and water resistant zippers; two exterior outside pockets; Ergonomic and soft-padded shoulder straps and back; and a four-way adjustable chest and waist straps keep your pack in place and customize to fit your torso's length and width.

It's a lot of money to fork over, but if you're super serious about hydration, it might be worth the price tag.
