New Freeskiing Player Enters the Marketplace Hot

KLINT KRYPTO LowresKLINT KRYPTO LowresThis year the annual Ski Industries America (SIA) snow sports industry show in Denver, Colorado, January 27-30, 2011 witnessed some tremendous innovations and new products.

Not the least of which is new ski company Klint, based out of San Diego, California where its parent SnowFab is headquartered. While having learned from everyone else’s mistakes and innovations, and then building upon that, Klint is aimed at all-mountain freeskiers with an initial introduction of eight new models aimed for juniors and adults.

Klint skis are made to be versatile and simple. The company seems to have brought on the right people to create a line of technologically advanced skis with progressive designs.

The company’s real claim to fame, however, is its Reflection Applied Concept (RAC) technology. Using computer assisted design software, Klint offers the exact same dimensions and proportions for each ski model in every size.

“When a length is reduced, for instance going from 188cm to 170cm, all the ski features are reduced according to scale, including all of the contact components (length of rails, base area, etc.) and also the flex index,” according to SnowFab CEO Ludo Boinnard. “The ski is then perfectly adapted to your size and weight, and keeps the exact same traits throughout the size range.”
