NAIFC championship to be held at two locations for first time in history

ice-fishing-4aThe North American Ice Fishing Circuit (NAIFC) will be holding the 2010 series invitational championship tournament on December 18-19 in Rhinelander, Wi. This year, the tournament will be spread over two days and held at two different lake locations. This is the first time that the NAIFC has designated two separate locations for the national championship in Rhinelander.

The tournament, in which ice fishers will be fishing for both Crappie and Sunfish, will begin on Dec. 18 at Lake Thompson, and will conclude on Dec. 19 at Lake George. The two lakes are structurally very different from each other, and so will provide fishers with a greater challenge. This tournament has estimated a payout total of nearly $20,000.

Rhinelander is dubbed by the state of Wisconsin as the “ice fishing capital of the world” will be hosting its third consecutive NAIFC tournament.
