World Cup Results: American Skier Dominates Hot

LVDefending three-time overall World Cup champion, Lindsey Vonn, secured the super-combined victory on Sunday, December 19th, in the downhill competition at Val d’Isere’s resort in France.

Vonn is leading on 581 points in the overall World Cup standings, but states, “It’s more important in terms of my morale than in terms of points.”

The Minnesotan achieved a rare accomplishment in her slalom and downhill runs with an overall time of two minutes 7.80 seconds this past weekend.

At 0.32 seconds behind Vonn, was Austria’s Elisabeth Goregl in second place, and fellow Austrian, Nicole Hosp, placed third at a mere seven hundredths behind.
