The first goal sank into the Maple Leafs’ net at 7:56, but the game tied at 14:08 when starter for the Toronto team, Mikhail Grabovski, scored his 14th goal of the season.

Marc Savard was almost at the blue line when he shot the winning goal for the Bruins at 15:30 against their divisional opponents.

On the offensive line for the Bruins played Savard, Nathan Horton and Milan Lucic, who after playing their sixth game together, these wingmen had yet to score a goal.

“We stuck together and tonight we got rewarded,” Savard mentioned, post-game.

Horton was also happy with the team’s perseverance. “It’s kind of nice for things to work out, for us to contribute and for us to go in and obviously help our team,” he said. Goaltender for the Bruins, Tuukka Rask, helped contribute to the Bruin’s victory. Rask stopped 36 shots against the team.

“Yeah, you know it’s always good to get a chance to bounce back,” Rask said. “It helps to get a good game like this and get two points for us. It’s huge.”

About 19,000 attendees were at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto to watch this victory, a reported lowest of the season for the venue.
